1¢ Franklin Issue of 1857-1861, PLATE 10
Pos 100R10, (Scott #24)
Scott #24 Blue,
Type V, Relief F
Issued only Perforate.
Part of a Block of 4 consisting of 89R10, 90R10, 99R10 and 100R10.

The violet arrows are marks of interest and may or may not be constant. Red arrows are known plating marks indicated by the Ashbrook / Neinken plating diagrams.

The violet arrow to the left center below has been confirmed as constant. The heavy dot in the "C" of CENT has also been confirmed as constant and also has been confirmed on Positions 91, thru 100R10. The plating diagrams do not indicate this mark. This dot was probably a bit of matter that attached itself to the transfer roller when the plate was being made and should also appear on 6th row positions (51R thru 60R).

FIGURE 1. (Below) Faint plating marks per plating diagrams.

FIGURE 2. (Below) Vertical blurry line and guide dot per plating diagrams. The violet arrow points to a blur which appears to be found on most other Plate 10 bottom row stamps.

FIGURE 4. (Below) The violet arrows are marks of interest and may or may not be constant.
