1¢ Franklin Issue of 1857-1861, PLATE 10 Position 95R10, (Scott #24) |
| Scott #24 Blue, Type V, Relief F Issued only Perforate. The Neinken plating diagrams do not illustrate this position. Part of a horizontal pair consisting of 95R10 and 96R10 The heavy dot in the "C" of CENT has been confirmed as constant and also has been confirmed on Positions 91 thru 100R10. The plating diagrams do not indicate this mark. This dot was probably a bit of matter that attached itself to the transfer roller when the plate was being made and should also appear on 6th row positions (51R thru 60R). |
