Issued only Perforate.

DOT NorthEast of E in POSTAGE VARIETY
Not really a variety, but Neinken makes mention of this dot appearing on Positions 28R9, 68R9 and 69R9. Another unusual feature about this position is the weak C relief side scratches at Ornament L/M and N. This is consistent on 69R9 and Neinken seems to have illustrated this without pointing it out in the plating diagram. The upper scratch which should run through Ornament L is completely missing, and the one below it, joining Ornaments L and M, is very weak. There are not many C relief positions like this, and it is a useful plating aid.

FIGURE 1. (Below) Three positions of "C Reliefs" of Plate 9 produced the variety I call "DOT NorthEast of E in POSTAGE". A small particle got on the "C" relief and hung to the the relief roller for three entries. These positions are 28R9, 68R9 and 69R9.

FIGURE 2. (Below) Plating marks in the O of ONE as illustrated in the plating diagram. The violet arrows point out a faint line of color not shown in the plating diagram and not known if consistent at this time.

FIGURE 3. (Below) Other marks of interest.
